PAJAN Audio Visual Studio |
PAJAN has an audio studio that is used for recording and editing radio programmes. The studio is equipped with one computer and Adobe audio editing software, two microphones and one speaker. The studio needs to be well equipped with an additional computer with audio software. Being a studio, the room needs to be made sound proof by padding the walls and having air conditioner to cool down the machines at the office. PAJAN does not have the facilities necessary to film and edit video. It is necessary to equip the centre with a video camera for broadcast quality videos and a computer for video editing including the necessary software. Voice recorders will also facilitate the journalists in filling radio broadcast stories from the region. |

The idea of creation of PAJAN was developed in the year 2001 but was realised in 2004 after training by AWC in Nanyuki that brought together correspondents in Kenya. AWC thereafter donated two computers to PAJAN and under the content development centres by MDC, PAJAN has acquired a laptop and is awaiting internet connection for faster submission of news items and for research. |
